Things to see and do:
Musee d’Art Moderne (Museum of Modern Art): The museum features paintings , sculptures and ceramics by such well known artists as Picasso, Chagall, Matisse and Dali and has ongoing showings by international artists. It is open 364 days a year.
The Pont du Diable (Devils Bridge): Built between 1321 and 1341, this stone arch medieval bridge spands the river Tech. At the time of its’ construction it was the world’s largest bridge arch and dominates the approach to Ceret.
Saturday Markets: One of the larger local markets, they run right by the front door of the apartment and offer fresh local produce and crafts as well as a fun and entertaining selection of buskers and musicians.
Collioure and Port Vendres: Located just 28 klms from Ceret and on the Mediterranean Coast, these beautiful fishing villages are well worth a visit and a seafood lunch would be a smart suggestion.
Roses: A beautiful seaside resort about 40minutes from Ceret on the Mediterranean in Spain.
The Principality of Andorra: Located about 1 ¾ hours from Ceret in The Pyrenees, this Principality is renowned for its’ skiing and Duty Free Shopping.
Barcelona: Without a doubt one of the great fun cities of the world. Barcelona is located just 180 klms from Ceret and an easy drive along very good motorways.
